3D Computer Vision, AI in Healthcare
Developed algorithms for 2D-to-3D coronary artery reconstruction from X-ray angiography, enhancing stenosis detection accuracy and reducing computation time via pseudo-transient vFFR. Currently developing deep learning models for laparoscopic surgical cholecystectomy using video-based CVS classification and hepatocystic anatomy segmentation.

Deep Learning based Diagnosis
Built a DenseNet-based multi-scale pyramidal fusion network for retinal vasculature and FAZ segmentation in OCTA images to improve diabetic retinopathy diagnosis. Developed a multimodal, multitask framework for Alzheimer’s disease classification (NC, MCI, AD) using integrated MRI and PET data.

Flexible & ML-Driven Antenna Design
Designed a flexible hexagonal patch antenna on PDMS for sub-6 GHz 5G wearable applications, achieving 3.2 dB peak gain with a validated low-cost fabrication process. Applied and compared Random Forest, XGBoost, CatBoost, and LightGBM to optimize antenna design parameters using full-wave EM simulation data.

Additive Metal Particle Defect Segmentation
Developed a spatial attention-based segmentation model to detect spatter particle defects in X-ray Computed Tomography images. Improved defect detection accuracy for additive manufacturing quality control in metal parts.

sEMG Decomposition and Motor Recruitment Analysis
Collected and analyzed single-channel sEMG data during hand-reaching tasks to extract muscle activation patterns using signal processing and ICA. Modeled sEMG signals to study motor unit recruitment dynamics during voluntary muscle contractions.
